Inside, russet bricks, colourful accents and antique flourishes are a nod to the owners' eclectic tastes, while its position right on the water’s edge promises calm and tranquillity. Surrounded by topiary pyramids and perched along the edge of the River Arrow (which guests have fishing rights to), this medieval home has been lovingly looked after by its owner, who just happens to be a sculptor. Glinting chandeliers combine with exposed medieval walls, while a charming old pull-string bell greets you at the door and in the garden, an orangery packed with plants flaunts a giant tin hot tub. Picturesque walking trails in hilly Herefordshire provide ample opportunities for stomps with the dogs, while a cinema room and that oh-so-special tub back at the house promise cosy autumnal evenings for all.
